I guess I should start by introducing us. We are Ambrose (Creative Workshop Facilitators – Designer – Screen Printers), Give Studio (Graphic Designer), and En Vida Studio by Michelle Tippmann (Photographer). We are a creative collaboration (and a mouth full). What is a creative collaboration you might ask???? Don’t look, its probably not in the dictionary. We are creative people with creative businesses who see the value in working with and among each other. We believe in pooling resources and by doing so we are able to make a bigger impact in our individual businesses and in the community. Bringing more to the table, the big, long wooden and metal kind. Being even more creative. —- Glad to meet you.
We cohabitate in downtown Holland at 224 S River and recently hosted Prints for Pops, our first hands-on event. It was a Father’s Day themed gift making experience to celebrate the radness of dadness. We each contributed to this experience in a way that is relevant to our respective expertise. Here is a glimpse at the experience:
Adam and Jenna Weiler of Ambrose with their sweet design skills and printer created 4 t-shirt designs – two for Dads – two for Kids with a Dad – You pick your t-shirt – You pick your design – They help you print it – on.the.spot.
Michelle Tippmann of En Vida Studio – me– I wanted to offer kids of the digital age a chance to experience film photography and Polaroid cameras. Using a Diana camera with a Fuji film instant back, we did long exposure – painting with light prints.
Choose your flash light and go crazy.
They made something like this : results vary depending on enthusiasm.
Anne Pageau of Give Studio paired her custom designs and hand drawn loveliness on 4 total rad card designs. All together in a package for $40.
Plus some specialty add-ons to the Give Studio retail area (you have to stop by to see it). These products are carefully chosen, having a strong focus on design, and are created by designers with a connection to Give Studio, Holland, or have personally inspired Anne. These unique ties came from Lief Design in Grand Rapids.
And then you can do it all again, if once just was not enough. Wrapping and all.
So this is our creative collaboration. Stay tuned for our next hands-on event and/or workshop coming soon!
